Quiebrasol is a 3BR/2BA tribute to Puerto Rican design in the heart of Santurce, with three queen bedrooms, a living room made for hanging out and a table that seats six. You’re around the corner from Calle Loíza, the island’s go-to strip for food, cocktails and nightlife, and a short walk from Ocean Park beach. Spend the day on the sand, the night on Loíza, and come home to a place that feels like Puerto Rico.

Quiebrasol is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath Puerto Rican pride apartment on the 3rd floor of Rockstar Suites, a newly renovated art building on Calle Aponte. Living room: a cognac leather sofa, cane armchairs, a mustard rocker and a TV under a raw concrete ceiling and a wall of windows. Kitchen: sage green cabinets with a cooktop, microwave, full-size fridge, coffee maker and cooking basics. Dining: a long acacia table that seats six under a woven rattan pendant. Bedroom 1: queen bed with a terracotta coverlet, walnut sconces, a TV and windows on two walls. Bedroom 2: queen bed against a navy accent wall, with an acoustic guitar hanging on the wall. Bedroom 3: queen bed set against the breeze block wall the apartment is named after, with sunflower-yellow walls, a lounge chair and a TV. Bathrooms: two full bathrooms shared within the apartment, one with a built-in concrete soaking tub under a copper rain shower and one with a walk-in glass shower. Green terrazzo floors throughout. Air conditioning, 1000 Mbps wifi, and TVs in the living room and two of the bedrooms.

The entire apartment is yours for the stay. Self check-in with a door keypad. The unit is on the 3rd floor and reached by stairs only (no elevator). Parking is free on the street; there is no dedicated parking spot.

We're local to San Juan and reachable any time through the Airbnb app. Check-in is fully self-service, and we'll send your door code and arrival details before you arrive. If anything comes up during your stay, message us and we'll take care of it quickly. We're also happy to share our favorite spots on Calle Loíza and around the island.

Quiebrasol sits in Santurce, just off Calle Loíza, one of San Juan's liveliest streets for food, art and nightlife. Around the corner you'll find colorful murals, coffee shops, bakeries, local boutiques, cocktail bars and some of the city's best restaurants, with something happening from breakfast until late. Head a few blocks north and you reach Ocean Park, a laid-back beach neighborhood where locals swim, paddleboard and play beach tennis. Condado's hotels and nightlife and the historic streets of Old San Juan are a short ride away.

On foot: Calle Loíza's restaurants, cafes and bars are around the corner, and Ocean Park beach is about a 5 to 10 minute walk. By car: Uber and taxis are easy to get in this area. The airport (SJU), Condado and Old San Juan are all a short drive away, roughly 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. Parking: free street parking only. There is no dedicated parking spot for the apartment.

Good to know before you book: - There is no washer or dryer in the unit. - The kitchen has a cooktop but no oven. - The apartment is on the 3rd floor and reached by stairs only, with no elevator. - There are no en-suite bathrooms. Both full bathrooms are shared within the apartment. - Parking is on the street only. - Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM. No parties or events, no smoking (including vaping) and no pets. - Beach towels are provided. We don't supply beach chairs, coolers or umbrellas, since there is no space in the apartment to store them.

  • Cancel 60 or more days before check-in for a 95% refund, 30 to 59 days for 50%. After that the stay is non-refundable.
  • Your total shows the nightly rate, cleaning and Puerto Rico's 7% room tax, and nothing else. There is no booking-site service fee.

- Check-in is after 3:00 PM and checkout is by 11:00 AM. - Maximum 6 guests. Only registered guests may stay overnight. - Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. The building has other guests and neighbors. - No parties or events. - No smoking or vaping anywhere in the apartment. - No pets. - Please turn off the AC and lights and lock the door when you leave.
