This 3-bedroom art apartment pairs raw concrete ceilings, terracotta limewash walls and green terrazzo floors with glowing glass block walls, a vinyl record player and a sage green kitchen. Gather around the big dining table or take it outside to your private patio. Step out to Calle Loíza, San Juan's coolest strip for food, cocktails, nightlife and street art, then stroll to Ocean Park beach. Old San Juan and the airport are just a quick ride away.

Barro is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath tropical brutalist apartment on the 2nd floor of Rockstar Suites, a newly renovated art building on Calle Aponte.

Living room: two sofas, lounge chairs, a Smart TV and a vinyl record player under raw concrete ceilings and a wall of windows. Kitchen: sage green cabinets with a cooktop, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and cooking basics. Dining: a long wood table made for family-style dinners. Bedroom 1: queen bed, glowing glass block wall, terracotta limewash and a private en-suite bathroom with a green glass tile shower. Bedroom 2: queen bed with olive green tile accents. Bedroom 3: queen bed framed by a warm backlit window. Second full bathroom with green tile and a concrete sink. Private patio with an outdoor dining table and umbrella.

Air conditioning, 1000 Mbps wifi, and Smart TVs in the living room and two of the bedrooms.

The entire apartment and the private patio are yours for the stay. Self check-in with a door keypad. The unit is on the 2nd floor and reached by stairs only (no elevator). Parking is free on the street; there is no dedicated parking spot.

Barro sits in Santurce, just off Calle Loíza, the street locals call San Juan's "Avenue of the Arts." Step out the door and you're surrounded by colorful murals, coffee shops, bakeries, local boutiques, cocktail bars and some of the city's most exciting restaurants, with something going on from morning coffee to late night.

Walk a few blocks north and you reach Ocean Park, a relaxed beach neighborhood with a long stretch of sand where locals swim, paddleboard and play beach tennis. Condado's hotels and nightlife and the historic streets of Old San Juan are a short ride away.

On foot: Calle Loíza's restaurants, cafes and bars are steps from the door, and Ocean Park beach is about a 5 to 10 minute walk.

By car: Uber and taxis are easy to get in this area. The airport (SJU), Condado and Old San Juan are all a short drive away, roughly 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic.

Parking: free street parking only. There is no dedicated parking spot for the apartment.

Good to know before you book: - There is no washer or dryer in the unit. - The kitchen has a cooktop but no oven. - The apartment is up one flight of stairs, with no elevator. - Parking is on the street only. - Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM. No parties or events, no smoking (including vaping) and no pets. - Beach towels are provided. We don't supply beach chairs, coolers or umbrellas, since there is no space in the apartment to store them.
